Call for EOIs – Symposium on family protection orders in the Pacific

The Australian National University, in conjunction with the Pacific Community (SPC), is planning to convene a virtual symposium on family protection orders in the Pacific region on 9 December 2021.

Expressions of Interest (deadline extended to 19 October):

Groups or individuals who would like to present individually or to organise a panel on a topic related to family protection orders, can provide their Expression of Interest (EOI) by  Tuesday 19 October (new extended deadline). This includes EOIs from organisations, networks and individuals who work as practitioners, professionals, volunteers or researcher. Individual speakers would be expected to speak for 10 minutes, and where possible, to submit a paper before the symposium.

The event will cover a wide range of countries and sectors, in relation to family protection orders that have been introduced across the Pacific through domestic violence legislation in the past decade or so.

EOIs are to be submitted to Lindy Kanan (lindy.kanan@anu.edu.au) and Dr Judy Putt (judy.putt@anu.edu.au) by Tuesday 19 October (new extended deadline).

A draft program is due by Friday 5 November.
