This report presents the key issues and actions from the inaugural meeting of the Pacific Women Advisory Group on Research (AGR) that was held from 23 – 24 January 2018 at the Pacific Women Support Unit Office in Fiji.
The AGR is comprised of specialists in gender research expertise who have interest in the Pacific region including representatives of research institutions, development partners, civil society organisations, regional organisations, governments that are engaging in gender research as well as individual research practitioners.
Guided by the Research Strategy, the AGR provides advice to Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) on the strategic direction of the Pacific Women research program.
The AGR meets twice every year to update and review the implementation of the Pacific Women Research Strategy and its Implementation Plan. The next meeting of the AGR is scheduled for July 2018.
