UNICEF commissioned a Joint Progress Review with Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of the Pacific Child Protection Programme, to bring together lessons and learning from the recent programme cycle and to inform potential future child protection programming.
The purpose of the Review was to provide an overall assessment of the programme, and its role in strengthening Pacific national child protection systems for the prevention of and response to violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation of children.
The Review appraised programme implementation from June 2014 to March 2017 in Kiribati, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, with some consideration of Fiji’s progress, and selected findings from other countries.
